New Year in the Children's Library

The Rondebosch Children's Library is planning its best-ever year in 2011! We've given ourselves a little make-over with all-new displays and brand-new books. During S.A. Library Week we will be hosting a short story and poetry competition for the young ones. During the school holidays we will have our by-now traditional craft and story times for the tiny tots as well as the cool school bunch. Talk to us, share your ideas with us, and enjoy the experience at the Children's Library!

  1. Hi

I have a 17 month old daughter. What times are you open etc and do you have special days / times esp for the little ones?

Where do I get hold of a holiday programme for the library?

    Thanks
    Jane

  2. Hi Jane,
The children's library is open as follows:
    Mondays from 10:00 to 18:00
    Tuesdays from 13:00 to 18:00
    Wednesdays from 10:00 to 13:00
    Thursdays from 13:00 to 20:00
    Fridays from 10:00 to 18:00,
and Saturdays from 09:00 to 12:00

We have storytimes on Wednesday and Friday mornings at 10:00, and holiday programmes are available from the library one to two weeks before the holidays start. We are aiming to post these to the blog and our Facebook page as well, as time permits.

  3. Love that you have a blog! And a Facebook page! You give librarians a good name!!
Some of my fondest memories of growing up in a small town in the Eastern Cape involve visiting the library once a week. Sadly, Eastern Cape libraries seem to be at the bottom of long lists of priorities... But we've just moved to Cape Town so my children and I will be visiting you soon.
